How we write these lessons

Who writes TradeLabs Learn, how lessons are researched, fact checked and kept up to date, how we use sources, and how to report a mistake.

Updated 3 Oct 2026

TradeLabs Learn is the free trading school from TradeLabs AI, the site that tracks live Polymarket up or down markets, offers AI chart analysis and runs a public accuracy scoreboard. We built it because most free trading education is either too shallow to be useful or written to sell a course. These lessons are meant to be the opposite: plain English, specific, honest about risk and free to read.

Who writes the lessons#

Lessons are written and reviewed by the TradeLabs team. We trade, build trading tools and spend our days inside market data, so we write about the things we work with: order books, execution, charts, probabilities and risk. Where a topic needs a specialist view, such as tax or regulation, we say so and point you to the official source.

How a lesson is made#

Every lesson goes through the same steps before it is published:

  1. One clear question. Each page answers one topic in depth instead of repeating what another page already covers. Related ideas link to their own lessons.
  2. Research from primary sources. Facts about rules, markets and history come from regulators, exchanges and original documents wherever possible, such as the SEC, FINRA, the CFTC, exchange rulebooks and platform documentation.
  3. Worked examples. Every lesson includes at least one example with real numbers, and the arithmetic is checked.
  4. A place in the school. Each lesson lists what to read first, what to read next and related lessons, so you can follow a path instead of jumping between random articles.
  5. Automatic checks. Before anything goes live, our build checks every lesson for broken links, missing sources, thin pages, duplicate titles and claims we do not allow, such as promises of profit.

Our rules for what we publish#

  • No promises. We never say a strategy will make money or that any trade is safe. Trading involves real risk, and we say so on every page.
  • Real figures only. Numbers about markets and rules come from named sources. Examples are clearly labelled as examples.
  • No hidden selling. Lessons are not adverts. TradeLabs tools are mentioned only where they help you practise the lesson, such as watching candlesticks on a live chart.
  • Dates you can trust. Each lesson shows when it was last updated. When rules or markets change, we update the lesson and its date.

Not financial advice#

Everything on TradeLabs Learn is general education. It does not take into account your situation, goals or finances, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Consider speaking to a licensed professional before making financial decisions, and never trade money you cannot afford to lose. Read our full risk notice.

Found a mistake?#

We would rather fix an error than leave it up. If you spot something wrong, outdated or unclear, tell us through the contact page and include the lesson address. We review every report and update the lesson when it needs it.
